Pose modifications are given to suit all levels of students.
This is an intermediate class offering a greater challenge in strength and flexibility as students enjoy investigating, playing, and expanding their practice and unlimited potential. It will continue to refine familiar poses, and begin exploring a variety of advanced asanas. Appropriate for students with some previous yoga experience. Students should be versed with handstand at the wall as well as pushing up into urdhva dhanurasana (backbend). Expect a supportive, dynamic and playful environment.
Together with their grown-up, toddlers play yoga through songs and adventures. They learn body awareness and grow stronger through creative play, all while ‘moo’-ing in cow pose and barking in downdog. Partner poses are used to create sweet bonding moments between caregiver and child.
This creative and playful class will help build strength and coordination as well as focus and release energy. Self expression is encouraged as kids shape their bodies into animal poses, play fun yoga games, and sing songs. Calming foot rubs melt kids into relaxation.
Children will explore more challenging poses that build self confidence while maintaining a fun aspect of play. Breathwork and mindfulness are taught along with kid-friendly activities that help children release energy, focus, and relax.
Kundalini Yoga & Meditation
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan has been called the “Yoga of Awareness.” It is a 5,000 year old authentic system of yoga exercise and meditation that promotes health, happiness and spiritual awareness. Kundalini is a complete science that combines postures (asanas), movement, sound current (mantra), breath (pranayam) and meditation into powerful sets called kriyas. It is designed to provide you with the experience of your higher consciousness through the raising of your Kundalini. Practicing it allows you to develop intuition, strength, sensitivity, calmness, wisdom, radiance and grace. It balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and enhances creative potential. Kundalini Yoga is for everyone. There is no need to be flexible or in great physical shape. Happiness is your birthright!
